Job summary

JLL is seeking a Vice President, Cost Manager for data center programs to lead cost control, estimating, and value engineering across feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning. You will deliver cost models and benchmarks to support multi-hundred‑million investments with strict uptime requirements.

You'll mentor a team of estimators, partner with design, PMO, and procurement, and advise clients on procurement strategies, phasing, and lifecycle cost management in fast‑moving

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CM/engineering/architecture or related field
• 12+ years cost management/estimating with data center focus
• Expert knowledge of data center construction costs and systems (electrical, mechanical, fire, envelope)
• Experience managing costs for large-scale projects ($100M+) with complex MEP
• Understanding of data center standards (Uptime Institute, TIA-942, ASHRAE 9.9) and costs
• Proficiency in CostX/Bluebeam/RSMeans or similar estimating tools
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reporting
• Experience with design-build, construction mgmt, lump-sum in data centers
• Outstanding client relationship mgmt and executive communication

Responsibilities

• Lead cost management and financial oversight for data center projects
• Develop comprehensive cost estimates from concept to construction documents
• Perform value engineering while maintaining uptime tier requirements
• Monitor budgets, analyze trends, and report variances
• Provide market insights and client advisory on procurement strategies
• Mentor cost team and drive standardization and continuous improvement
