Job summary

JLL is seeking a VP, Cost Manager specializing in data centers to lead strategic cost planning, estimating, and value engineering for mission-critical facilities. You will oversee budgets, benchmarks, and financial performance across large programs, collaborating with clients, design teams, and contractors in a 24/7 operating environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, architecture or related field.
• 12+ years of cost management/estimating experience focusing on data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Deep knowledge of data center costs including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Experience managing costs for large-scale projects ($100M+).
• Familiarity with industry standards and cost estimation software.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Cost Planning & Estimating for data center projects from feasibility to construction.
• Value engineering to identify cost savings while maintaining reliability.
• Project cost control, budgeting, trend analysis, and contingency management.
• Market intelligence on equipment pricing, labor, and regional variations.
• Stakeholder reporting and executive presentations of cost forecasts.
• Team leadership and development of cost management processes.
