Job summary

Palm Tree is seeking a Vice President, Data & Analytics to lead analytics engagements, architect data models, and build AI-enabled solutions for private equity-backed portfolios. The role blends finance acumen with hands-on data leadership across BI, forecasting, and AI initiatives.

The VP will guide teams, ensure scalable data architectures, and deliver actionable insights to executives. This role requires strong collaboration with sponsors and operators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a similar field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in financial transaction advisory, private equity, consulting, investment banking, restructuring, corporate or portfolio company finance, FP&A, or business intelligence, with progressive responsibility
• Strong BI and data analytics skills with finance language fluency.

Responsibilities

• Lead BI and AI-driven analytics engagements from scoping to delivery.
• Design scalable data models and architecture for multiple engagements.
• Develop AI agents, custom GPTs, and Copilot-based tools to support analytics.
• Collaborate with PE sponsors and executives to define metrics and reporting needs.
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to delivery frameworks and quality standards.
