Job summary

Palm Tree is seeking a Vice President of Data & Analytics to lead analytics engagements, design scalable data models, and develop AI-driven solutions for portfolio companies and middle-market clients. The role combines deep finance knowledge with hands-on BI and AI, working with private equity sponsors and executives to translate financial questions into actionable data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a similar field.
• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in financial transaction advisory, private equity, consulting, or related fields.
• Proven ability to lead junior staff and manage analytics engagements.
• Strong finance and accounting fluency with experience interpreting statements and forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Lead data architecture and modeling to design scalable, interconnected data structures.
• Model, validate, and reconcile financial data from ERP and accounting systems.
• Develop Power BI semantic models, reports, and dashboards.
• Build KPI frameworks linking finance requirements to technical solutions.
• Lead the development of AI agents, custom GPTs, and Copilot tools for analytics delivery.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to training and delivery standards.
• Engage with executives to translate business questions into analytical frameworks.
• Own analytics workstreams from scoping through delivery, managing timelines and budgets.
