Job summary

Palm Tree LLC is seeking a Vice President, Data & Analytics to lead analytics engagements for private equity clients and portfolio companies. You will design data models, build AI-enabled solutions, and oversee BI dashboards that drive real-time visibility into financial and operational performance.

Candidate should have 7+ years of experience in finance/analytics, strong leadership, and a deep background in Power BI, SQL, Excel, and data architecture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in financial transaction advisory, private equity, consulting, investment banking, restructuring, corporate or portfolio company finance, FP&A, or business intelligence, with progressive responsibility.
• Ability to lead junior staff and produce quality client results.
• Strong BI background with hands-on expertise in Power BI, Power Query, DAX, and data modeling.
• CPA or CFA designation and cloud data platforms experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable data models and analytics architecture across engagements.
• Model, validate, and reconcile financial data from ERP and accounting systems.
• Lead BI development of Power BI reports, DAX measures, and KPI frameworks.
• Develop AI agents, custom GPTs, and Copilot-based solutions for analytics delivery.
• Train internal and external users on AI tools and onboard third-party vendors.
• Engage with executives to translate business questions into analytics and AI-enabled frameworks.
• Own analytics workstreams from scoping through delivery, including timelines and resourcing.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to internal methodologies and standards.
