Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years in commercial lending or credit risk
• Experience with underwriting and portfolio risk management
• Advanced knowledge of credit risk techniques and regulatory guidance
• Accounting rules applicable to lending activities and related laws
• Strong understanding of middle‑market and specialty credits

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in comprehensive credit reviews across diverse lending portfolios
• Manage issue-tracking and remediation for examinations
• Enhance the Credit Review program with stronger governance and scope
• Execute risk assessment framework to identify key credit risks
• Identify weaknesses in portfolio management causing risk-rating variances
• Provide an opinion on management's ability to administer credit risk and concentrations
• Analyze commercial and retail credits to determine asset quality
• Ensure risk-rating changes are updated in the loan system
• Ensure compliance with credit policies and regulatory requirements
• Serve as examiner in charge and lead examinations
• Develop findings and recommendations and action plans
• Prepare examination reports and present to senior management
• Provide training and guidance to junior examiners
• Foster collaboration with lending, credit admin, internal audit and third parties
• Promote effective communication with internal/external resources
• Complete special assignments and due diligence as delegated
• Participate in hiring decisions and staff development
• Adhere to policies and procedures; perform other duties
