Job summary

Atlas Search is seeking a VP-level Asset Manager to own a CRE loan book from closing to repayment in New York City. You will monitor sponsor business plans, run construction draws, refresh cash flow models, and lead workouts when needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of CRE debt asset management experience.
• Hands-on experience running construction loan draws.
• A sitting VP in asset management, or a senior associate ready to step into a VP seat.
• Working knowledge of CRE loan documentation, including intercreditor and cash management provisions.
• Cash flow modeling and advanced Excel skills.
• Clear written and in-person communication, from IC memos to investor reports.
• Ability to juggle multiple assets and deadlines independently.
• Bachelor's in finance, economics, real estate or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of CRE debt, including construction and mezzanine loans.
• Run construction and future funding draws against budgets and business plans.
• Refresh cash flow models and asset valuations as financials come in.
• Monitor covenants, maturities, and risk ratings; keep watchlists current.
• Produce quarterly asset reviews and portfolio reports for committees and investors.
• Oversee borrower requests and workouts, including REO strategy with outside counsel.
• Review reporting from third-party servicers and surveillance providers for accuracy.
• Visit properties and maintain close sponsor relationships to inform originations and underwriting.
