Job summary

Mission Staffing seeks a senior investment professional to source and evaluate opportunities across asset-based and private credit strategies in New York. You will lead due diligence, manage transaction execution, and underwrite opportunities with rigorous credit analysis.

You will analyze loan-level data, prepare comprehensive memoranda, monitor portfolio performance, and build relationships with management teams and market participants to identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 6+ years of experience across structured finance, asset-based finance, private credit investing, debt capital markets, or leveraged finance.
• Strong knowledge of credit underwriting, financial analysis, and accounting principles.
• Established professional network across fintech, specialty finance, or related markets.
• Advanced financial modeling and Excel skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Creative, solution-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Source and evaluate new investment opportunities across asset-based and private credit strategies.
• Lead commercial due diligence and manage transaction execution, including legal, documentation, and diligence processes.
• Underwrite investment opportunities through collateral-specific credit analysis, scenario modeling, and investment return analysis.
• Analyze loan-level data, financial statements, and transaction structures to evaluate credit risk and investment opportunities.
• Prepare comprehensive investment memoranda and identify key investment risks and considerations.
• Monitor existing portfolio investments and evaluate ongoing financial and credit performance.
• Build relationships with emerging companies, management teams, and market participants to develop new investment opportunities.
