Job summary

Mission Staffing seeks a Vice President to join its Asset-Based Finance team in New York. The successful candidate will source, evaluate, structure, and execute asset-based lending opportunities across multiple asset classes and work closely with senior investment professionals.

You will lead due diligence, build financial models, and present recommendations. You will also manage portfolios, strengthen relationships with originators and borrowers, and mentor junior staff as the ABF platform

Qualifications

• 7+ years in asset-based finance or related fields.
• Experience evaluating and executing complex credit transactions.
• Strong financial modeling, underwriting, and analysis.
• Familiarity with asset-backed lending structures and collateral valuation.
• Ability to present to senior stakeholders.
• Experience working independently within a lean, entrepreneurial team.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, structure, and execute asset-based finance transactions across multiple asset classes.
• Conduct detailed financial, credit, and collateral analysis to assess investment opportunities and downside risk.
• Build and review financial models, cash flow projections, valuations, and investment return scenarios.
• Lead due diligence, including asset-level analysis, borrower assessments, legal documentation, and third-party reviews.
• Prepare investment committee memoranda and present transaction recommendations to senior leadership.
• Manage existing portfolio investments, monitor collateral performance, assess credit trends, and identify potential risks.
• Develop and maintain relationships with originators, borrowers, financial institutions, intermediaries, and other industry participants.
• Collaborate with legal, risk, operations, and capital markets teams to facilitate transaction execution and ongoing portfolio oversight.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to the continued development of the ABF investment platform.
