Job description

Overview

We are exclusively partnering with a high‑growth, late‑stage B2B SaaS company to find their next VP, Corporate Control.

Operating as a true market leader in their specific vertical, this company builds critical infrastructure software for complex, large‑scale organizations. They are well into the nine figures in revenue, highly profitable, and scaling rapidly through both organic growth and an active M&A program. Currently in a pre‑IPO build phase, they are looking for a top accounting leader to scale their infrastructure, optimize processes, and prepare the business for the next major liquidity event.

Role

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will serve as the senior‑most accounting executive in the company. This is a highly visible, builder‑and‑operator role. You will partner closely with the executive leadership team on strategic initiatives while remaining hands‑on enough to own technical accounting and scale the global organization.

What You Will Do
  • Own Accounting Leadership: Direct all day‑to‑day accounting functions (GL, order‑to‑cash, payroll, AP/AR, treasury) and lead a high‑performing global team of 15+ professionals.
  • Technical Accounting & Reporting: Serve as the foremost technical accounting authority. Own complex areas including ASC 606 (SaaS revenue recognition), stock‑based comp, and consolidations.
  • M&A Execution: Lead financial due diligence and accounting integration for a highly active, ongoing acquisitions pipeline.
  • Systems & Controls: Drive the design and implementation of scalable internal controls. Evaluate, optimize, and scale financial systems (NetSuite, Workday, Salesforce) to build an IPO‑ready infrastructure.
  • Audit & Compliance: Manage financial audits, tax compliance, and global reporting.
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience: 15+ years of progressive accounting experience. A combination of Big 4 public accounting and industry experience is strongly preferred (Active CPA highly desired).
  • SaaS/Tech Scale: Prior experience as a Controller, VP Controller, or Head of Accounting at a high‑growth SaaS or technology company operating at scale (ideally in the $150 M–$500 M+ revenue range).
  • Technical Expertise: Deep GAAP knowledge with a proven stronghold in ASC 606 for complex SaaS revenue models.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated success building, developing, and retaining global accounting teams.
  • Operational Mindset: A hands‑on, strategic operator with experience managing multi‑entity/global accounting environments and driving M&A integrations.
  • Executive Presence: Highly articulate and comfortable presenting to and partnering with the CFO, COO, and the broader leadership team.
  • Profile Stability: A track record of strong tenure and stability in previous roles.
Why This Role?

This is the true #1 accounting seat at a scaling, late‑stage SaaS company with a clear path to gaining IPO‑readiness experience. It offers immense visibility across the executive team, incredibly competitive compensation, and a unique opportunity to shape and build a global accounting function.
