BMO Financial Group in Chicago seeks an senior corporate lender to originate and structure complex financing solutions for Sponsor and non‑Sponsor transactions. You will coordinate with product specialists and drive cross‑sell opportunities, while managing a diverse loan portfolio.

The role requires deep credit analysis, negotiation skills, and the ability to deliver tailored credit solutions across leveraged buyouts and M&A financings, with emphasis on client relationships and risk controls.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of relevant experience and related degree.
• MBA, CFA or equivalent.
• 6+ years in investment banking, leveraged finance, corporate banking, sponsor finance or commercial lending.
• Experience with sponsor-backed LBOs, M&A financings, dividend recapitalizations, refinancings, and acquisition financings.

Responsabilités

• Originate, underwrite, structure, and negotiate complex transactions.
• Provide lending expertise for LBOs, M&A financings and related structures.
• Prepare credit documentation for internal/external stakeholders.
• Manage a diverse lending portfolio and monitor client relationships.
• Cross-sell and maintain strong client engagement with sector teams.
