Job summary

State Street seeks a strategic technology leader to guide Core Accounting application development and maintenance. The VP will modernize a global accounting stack, drive cloud-native architectures, and ensure regulatory compliance while delivering resilient, scalable solutions.

Collaboration with business, product, operations, risk, and enterprise technology leaders is essential to accelerate modernization, enable new products, and improve client outcomes across regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of technology leadership experience, including significant experience within financial services.
• Proven track record delivering application solutions for our business partners.
• Experience operating effectively and managing across multiple geographies.

Responsibilities

• Execute the technology strategy and roadmap for Core Accounting aligned to business priorities, client needs, and enterprise objectives.
• Drive application architecture, platform simplification, cloud adoption, and technology lifecycle management across the portfolio.
• Ensure delivery excellence through highly resilient, scalable, secure, and efficient technology solutions.
• Accountable for platform stability, operational resiliency, service quality, regulatory adherence, and achievement of business and client outcomes.
• Partner closely with Product, Risk, and Client-facing teams to enhance capabilities, enable new products, support client growth, and improve competitive differentiation.
• Drive adoption of cloud-native architectures, modern engineering practices, data platforms, and automation capabilities across the application.
• Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, continuous learning, and technology excellence.
