Job summary

State Street Corporation is seeking an experienced Dev Lead and Architect to own end-to-end architecture across enterprise applications, data platforms, analytics, reporting, and cloud-native solutions. The role requires deep Java/Spring expertise, data platforms, BI tooling, and UI integration with React.

You will guide global teams, shape architecture standards, drive performance, governance, and long-term sustainability while collaborating with product and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of IT experience with senior architecture/leadership
• Expertise in Java/J2EE, Spring Core/MVC/Boot
• Experience governing data platforms with Databricks, Python, Spark, SQL
• Strong background in data optimization, performance tuning, scalable design
• Experience implementing rule engines and complex business logic
• Familiarity with Power BI/Tableau, UI technologies including React, and integration with data platforms
• Exposure to cloud (AWS), cloud-native, and hybrid/on-prem to cloud migrations
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum
• Proven ability to lead globally distributed teams

Responsibilities

• Define and govern data/analytics architecture using Databricks, Python, Spark, SQL, and Oracle
• Lead architecture/design of Java/J2EE/Spring backend systems and APIs
• Architect and guide rule engines and data validation/optimization strategies
• Drive performance tuning across databases, lakehouse platforms, and analytics workloads
• Oversee BI/reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau) for trusted data and governance
• Ensure alignment between backend, data platforms, analytics, and UI (React)
• Mentor globally distributed development/QA teams and establish standards
• Provide senior technical leadership during production incidents and strategic roadmap discussions
