Job summary

Ballston Spa National Bank is seeking a VP, Commercial Relationship Manager to expand existing commercial relationships, develop new business, and manage commercial loan and CRE portfolios. The role focuses on C&I relationships, prospecting new clients, and exceeding sales and revenue targets.

The candidate will analyze clients’ financial strategies, gather financial data, explain banking products, and coordinate analyses to support credit decisions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial lending experience with ability to assess credit risk and structure/ negotiate loan terms.
• Proven track record of prospecting new business and expanding relationships.
• Strong negotiating, sales and relationship-building skills coupled with credit/ financial analysis.
• Well-developed communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain client relationships and analyze clients' financial and operating strategies.
• Recommend loans and banking products with focus on C&I relationships.
• Grow the commercial portfolio by building new relationships and meeting revenue targets.
• Gather financial information and explain Bank products/services to clients.
• Coordinate financial analyses to assist credit decisions and provide input on loan decisions.
