Job summary

AMN Healthcare is seeking a VP, Business Development - RPO to drive revenue growth and expand market share across healthcare systems nationwide. You will serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare executives, shaping workforce solutions with AMN’s RPO, consulting, and contingent labor offerings.

The ideal candidate brings a consultative RPO background, a track record of selling complex workforce solutions, and the ability to influence C-suite decisions.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree plus 7-10 years of work experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 9-12 years of work experience in Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) is required.
  • Proven success selling and developing enterprise RPO partnerships with large healthcare systems and integrated delivery networks.
  • Deep understanding of recruitment operations, talent acquisition strategies, workforce planning, recruitment technology, and healthcare labor market dynamics.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex sales cycles, including RFP responses, solution design, pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and executive presentations.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets through new client acquisition and account expansion.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with CHROs, Chief Nursing Officers, Talent Acquisition Leaders, HR Executives, and C-suite stakeholders.
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to develop ROI models, business cases, workforce assessments, and strategic recommendations.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workforce challenges across nursing, allied health, physician, revenue cycle, and non-clinical recruitment.

Job Summary

The VP, Business Development- RPO is a senior business development and strategic sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and developing executive-level client partnerships across healthcare systems nationwide. This highly visible role serves as a trusted advisor to healthcare executives, helping organizations solve complex workforce challenges through AMN Healthcare's comprehensive portfolio of workforce solutions, including Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO), workforce consulting, talent acquisition strategies, and contingent labor management.

The ideal candidate is a consultative sales executive in Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) background, a proven track record of selling complex workforce solutions, and the ability to influence C-suite decision-makers. This individual will collaborate across multiple AMN business lines to design innovative solutions, create long-term client value, and deliver sustainable revenue growth.

Job Responsibilities
Strategic Business Development & Revenue Growth
  • Drive new client acquisition and market expansion through consultative sales strategies and executive relationship development.
  • Achieve annual and quarterly revenue targets through accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and disciplined sales execution.
  • Identify, qualify, and close complex workforce solutions opportunities with healthcare systems and large provider organizations.
  • Develop strategic account plans to expand market share and create long-term client partnerships.
  • Lead complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, executive sponsors, and cross-functional buying committees.
Executive Client Engagement
  • Build trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives, HR leaders, workforce strategy teams, and operational stakeholders.
  • Conduct workforce assessments to identify organizational challenges and align AMN solutions with strategic workforce objectives.
  • Facilitate executive-level discussions focused on workforce optimization, recruitment strategies, retention initiatives, and labor management.
  • Present customized business cases and ROI analyses that demonstrate financial, operational, and workforce outcomes.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to design innovative workforce solutions tailored to client needs.
  • Develop and deliver executive presentations, strategic proposals, and RFP responses that differentiate AMN in the marketplace.
  • Create customized workforce strategies that address staffing shortages, recruitment challenges, workforce planning, and operational efficiencies.
  • Leverage workforce analytics, market intelligence, and industry best practices to support solution recommendations.
Thought Leadership & Market Influence
  • Represent AMN Healthcare at industry conferences, healthcare associations, and executive networking events.
  • Stay informed on healthcare workforce trends, labor market dynamics, technology innovations, and competitive market intelligence.
  • Drive innovation through strategic partnerships, emerging workforce solutions, and new service offerings.
