Job summary

Tradition Capital Bank is seeking a VP, Assistant Controller to lead accounting operations in Minnesota. You will validate tasks, ensure timely close, and supervise entries. The role requires GAAP expertise and strong leadership to align team with bank priorities.

The position emphasizes ownership of bank and holding company accounting, staff development, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Local travel may be involved.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with 7–10 years of accounting experience; and equivalent education/experience. CPA preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
• Excellent leadership, communication and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting staff and ensure timely, accurate close processes.
• Oversee journal entries, AP, vendor management, and general ledger activities.
• Coordinate tax reporting and holding company accounting, including treasury stock and dividends.
• Act as subject matter expert on bank financials and systems.
