Job summary

State Street seeks a Vice President of AI Security and Data Protection Governance and Controls to establish and oversee the enterprise governance framework for secure AI and data protection capabilities. You will translate strategy into policies, standards, and measurable remediation programs, partnering across Security, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Procurement, and the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity, AI security, data protection governance.
• CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP or similar certifications preferred.
• Experience developing enterprise security policies and leading cross-functional programs.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the enterprise governance framework for AI security and data protection.
• Govern discovery, inventory, classification, and risk assessment of AI models and data assets.
• Define risk-based prioritization criteria using data sensitivity and business criticality.
• Design minimum control requirements, testing procedures, evidence standards, and remediation.
• Lead roadmap for transitioning to approved secure technologies and control solutions.
• Partner with Security Architecture to embed security-by-design and adaptable controls.
• Define due-diligence criteria for third-party products and cloud services.
• Serve as SME for AI security governance with senior leadership and regulators.
• Establish dashboards and KPIs for risk exposure and control compliance.
• Lead and develop a team responsible for governance and cross-functional execution.
