Job summary

State Street is seeking an AI Governance Architect to lead the governance, oversight, and responsible adoption of Generative AI, LLMs, and AI-enabled engineering. You will collaborate across architecture, engineering, cybersecurity, compliance, product, legal, risk, and FinOps to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and cost management.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
• 4–12 years of experience in Financial Technology and production support.
• Exposure to SQL and relational databases (Oracle/MSSQL).
• Exposure to structured programming languages and system administration basics.
• Familiarity with Salesforce Case tracking; knowledge of cloud, virtualization, Kafka is preferred.
• Proven ability to work in mission-critical production environments.

Responsibilities

• Policy Adoption and Standards Tailoring across enterprise architecture and security.
• AI intake, classification and approval across engineering and business units.
• Interpret enterprise AI policy and translate into Charles River controls and criteria.
• Maintain traceability from obligations to controls, owners, and evidence.
• Represent Charles River in policy development with software engineering and cloud teams.
• Identify policy gaps and secure agreed adaptations or exceptions.
• Align classification to NIST AI RMF and enterprise risk taxonomy.
