Job summary

State Street invites a Vice President to lead AI security and data protection governance. This role reports to the Managing Director, Data Protection, translating strategy into policies, standards, and measurable remediation programs across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity and governance.
• Experience developing enterprise security policies and controls.
• Ability to engage executives and regulatory audiences.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain enterprise governance framework for AI security and data protection.
• Govern discovery, inventory, classification, and risk assessment of AI models and data assets.
• Define risk-based prioritization criteria using data sensitivity, retention, and exposure.
• Design minimum control requirements, testing procedures, evidence standards, and remediation expectations.
• Establish and oversee the enterprise roadmap for secure technology implementations and controls.
• Partner with Security Architecture to embed requirements into designs and reviews.
• Define AI security and data protection requirements for third-party products and cloud services.
• Serve as SME for AI security governance with leadership, Risk, Compliance, and regulators.
• Establish dashboards and KRIs for risk coverage, controls, and remediation progress.
• Lead and develop a cross-functional governance team.
