Job summary

State Street in Stamford, CT seeks a Vice President for AI Security and Data Protection Governance and Controls to lead the enterprise framework, translate strategy into policies, and embed secure architectures across platforms.

You will drive risk-based prioritization, design minimum controls, and oversee dashboards and metrics while leading a cross-functional team in a highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years in cybersecurity, AI security, data protection, or governance.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP are preferred.
• Experience leading cross-functional transformation in a regulated org.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain enterprise governance framework, policies, standards, and accountability.
• Govern discovery, inventory, classification, and risk assessment of AI models and data assets.
• Define risk-based prioritization using data sensitivity, criticality, external exposure.
• Design minimum control requirements, testing procedures, and remediation expectations.
• Oversee roadmap for transitioning to secure technologies and control solutions.
• Partner with Architecture and Engineering to embed security-by-design and controls.
• Define due-diligence criteria for third-party products and cloud services.
• Serve as SME for AI security governance with senior leaders, risk, audit, and regulators.
