Job summary

State Street seeks a team leader to head AI Security and Data Protection Governance within Global Cybersecurity. You will set strategy and an accountability model for secure, resilient AI and data protections across enterprise platforms and third‑party services.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, embed security‑by‑design, and align policy with business goals, risk, and regulatory readiness across the firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, or related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• 13+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, AI security, data protection, security architecture, technology risk, or control governance.
• Experience leading managers and senior professionals and governing multi-year transformation.

Responsibilities

• Set the enterprise vision, strategy, governance model, and multi-year roadmap for AI security, data protection, and risk.
• Lead, develop, and retain a multidisciplinary team responsible for governance and risk oversight.
• Establish enterprise policies, standards, control objectives, decision rights, risk ownership, and accountability across AI and data platforms.
• Direct risk assessments and classification of AI models, data assets, and security controls.
• Direct remediation, transformation priorities, and executive reporting to leadership, clients, auditors, and regulators.
• Oversee implementation of secure technologies and control solutions with appropriations, gates, and escalation as needed.
