Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior AI Security Automation Engineer to help shape AI-powered cybersecurity platforms. You will build scalable, secure AI services across AWS/Azure/GCP, architect retrieval-augmented systems, and lead a global, hybrid team responsible for reliable and safe AI operations.

The role combines AI, cybersecurity, data engineering, and full-stack development to enable governed AI across the enterprise, delivering autonomous agents and automated security workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/SWE/AI/Data Science/Cybersecurity.
• 7+ years software engineering; 3+ years AI/GenAI solutions.
• Experience deploying enterprise-scale apps and platforms.
• Strong cybersecurity, analytics, or ops background.

Responsibilities

• Lead scalable AI security platforms and agentic workflows.
• Design production-grade AI systems with memory, guardrails, and tool orchestration.
• Architect retrieval and context-engineering approaches (embeddings, semantic search).
• Develop cloud-native AI services in AWS, Azure, GCP with containers/serverless.
• Build governed APIs connecting AI to security tools and processes.
• Establish observability, testing, and safety frameworks for AI agents.
• Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across teams.
• Ensure secure coding, peer reviews, and documentation practices.
