Job summary

State Street is seeking a Senior Application Security Architect to design, review, and govern security architectures for enterprise applications, APIs, cloud-native platforms, and AI-enabled systems. You will partner with software engineering, data science, cloud engineering, cybersecurity, and business teams to embed security across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• 14 years or more of experience in application security or related fields with 8+ years hands-on cybersecurity experience preferred.
• Experience securing enterprise-scale applications across cloud, SaaS, hybrid, and on-premises environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and review secure architectures for enterprise applications, APIs, cloud-native platforms, and AI-enabled systems.
• Define and maintain application security and AI security standards and architecture patterns.
• Conduct threat modeling, architecture reviews, and design assessments for applications and AI solutions.
• Embed security controls across software and AI development lifecycles with cross-functional teams.
• Provide expertise in secure coding, API security, authentication/authorization, and data protection.
• Assess security risks related to applications, AI models, data, prompts, and third-party AI services.
