Job summary

RennerBrown seeks a Vice President of Technology (Platform Engineer) to lead the design, build, and operation of the firm’s AI platform and developer infra in a secure, scalable environment. You will oversee Azure AI Foundry deployments, integrate external AI APIs, and drive DevSecOps practices across cloud infrastructure and pipelines.

The role requires 8+ years in infrastructure or data engineering, strong Python, and extensive Azure expertise.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
8+ years in infrastructure engineering, cloud platform engineering, or data engineering.
Proven experience building shared platforms or developer services in an enterprise environment.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate AI platform and developer infra to enable Python AI apps.
Manage Azure AI Foundry environments: deployments, hubs, workspaces, access controls.
Integrate third‑party AI APIs with secure access patterns, rate limiting and cost monitoring.
Develop internal tooling and SDK scaffolding for faster AI app development.
Build data pipelines with Azure Data Factory and Databricks; implement vector search and retrieval.
Provision secure, scalable infra on Azure and AWS with IaC; maintain CI/CD and container workloads.
Enforce security governance, data access controls, encryption, audit logging; enforce MNPI segregation.
Produce architecture docs, runbooks, and assist developers; collaborate with architects and stakeholders.
