Job summary

Engine is building an AI-native platform to scale enterprise AI across all domains. As VP, you’ll own AI Platform rails, guide a founding team, and partner with the Senior Directors to align the enterprise AI roadmap.

You lead the first wave of platform capabilities, drive cost and security controls, and shape a scalable, single-stack architecture with a strong focus on trusted AI production and developer experience.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software or platform engineering.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams or orgs.
• 8+ years building platforms or infrastructure relied on by others.
• 3+ years hands-on with production AI/ML (LLMs, agents, eval).

Responsibilities

• Own AI Platform core: LLM gateway, agent framework, evaluation infra.
• Lead Velocity program and developer experience for faster delivery.
• Shape AI data infra, observability, security, and cost controls.
• Build one enterprise-wide stack with no forks or parallel stacks.
• Grow the platform org with Directors and engineers across pods.
