Job summary

PEAK6 is seeking a VP of Product to own the roadmap for its trading platforms and AI agents. You will lead a lean product team, balance risk and speed, and partner with Engineering to deploy agent-based solutions that help traders move faster and with better controls.

You will shape autonomy, guardrails, and governance with Risk and Compliance, demonstrating data-driven decision making and a bias for execution. The role is based in Chicago with flexible office options.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in product management with end-to-end roadmap ownership.
• Track record shipping products with measurable business impact.
• Strong opinions, defended with data.
• Able to justify build decisions and adapt when data says otherwise.
• Vision plus attention to detail for multi-year product plans.

Responsibilities

• Set direction and own the call.
• Own the product vision and roadmap for trading desk; tie bets to outcomes.
• Decide what gets built, waited, or stopped; own the result.
• Balance stakeholders without becoming an order taker.
• Run roadmap as experiments; test hypotheses first, scale or kill by evidence.
• Define and ship agentic products: monitor markets, surface ideas, stage orders, automate follow-through across OMS, EMS, risk platforms.
• Design autonomy: where agents act, where they recommend, where traders confirm.
• Build trust with evaluations, guardrails, audit trails, explainability; partner with Risk and Compliance.
• Eliminate manual touchpoints across trade lifecycle with process changes or new builds.
• Lead a lean agent-first product team; speed discovery and delivery to traders in days.
• Collaborate with Engineering across lifecycle: design, testing, release, adoption.
• Step in on requirements, testing, release when needed.
• Grow product leaders; scale across PEAK6 and share learnings across the group.
