Job summary

BNY, based in Pittsburgh, PA, seeks a Vice President, Scrum Leader to guide the Fund & Investor Solutions team. You will establish Scrum practices, remove impediments, and coach teams toward high-value increments and continuous improvement.

This role requires strong communication, mentoring, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with experience leading software development in Agile environments. Knowledge of Jira and Confluence and Agile practices such as Scrum, SAFe, XP, Kanban, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 4–8 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• Experience in Scrum Master role for software development teams.
• Knowledge of Scrum, SAFe, XP, Kanban, and Spotify.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to translate ambiguous topics into actionable plans.
• Strong communication, mentoring, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Preferred Agile certifications including CSM, PSM, SAFe SSM.

Responsibilities

• Establishing and maintaining Scrum practices, while facilitating understanding of Scrum theory and practice within the Scrum Team and the organization
• Removing impediments, ensuring Scrum events take place, and keeping events positive, productive, and within timeboxes
• Helping Teams focus on creating high-value increments, meeting the Definition of Done, and achieving daily and iteration goals
• Coaching Teams in self-management and cross-functionality, while guiding continuous improvement and high-quality delivery
