Continental Finance Company is seeking a Vice President, Accounting and Controller to lead the accounting team and supervise day-to-day general accounting activities. The role focuses on maintaining accounting policies, overseeing system implementations, and ensuring accurate monthly close and financial reporting in a U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
• Minimum of 3 years management experience.
• Minimum of 7 years progressive accounting experience in public accounting or similar environment.
• Technical knowledge of GAAP and finance functions.
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• Prior credit card or financial services experience a plus.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily accounting operations including month-end close, journal entries, GL maintenance, and financial statement support.
• Maintain GL reconciliation policy and procedures.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and disclosures.
• Perform US GAAP analysis and develop accounting policy documents.
• Manage and audit accounting staff performance.
• Prepare investor, debt covenant, and management reports.
• Review AP, bank reconciliations, and monitor cash flow.
• Interface with external auditors during financial statement audits.
