Job summary

Bexar County is seeking a Voter Registration Processor to handle data entry of voter registration applications and changes, maintain files, and assist callers and walk-in customers. The role requires accurate data entry, filing, and good knowledge of voter eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities include mailing certifications, handling cancellations, and supporting election judges. Candidates must pass background checks and a pre-employment screen, with full-time hours and a focus on accuracy

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of general office procedures.
• Knowledge of the Texas Election Code and voter eligibility.
• Skills in communicating effectively with diverse groups, both written and verbal.
• Ability to enter data accurately and perform calculations under time constraints.

Responsibilities

• Data entry of initial voter registration information and changes.
• Scan, index, and file applications and related documents.
• Answer questions about voter registration procedures in person or by phone.
• Prepare and mail voter registration certifications and cancellations.
• Assist walk-in customers and accept department processing fees.
