Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks substitute teachers who demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and is caring, perceptive, and proficient in teaching LifeWise students.

Responsibilities include completing substitute teacher training, teaching LifeWise classes as needed, implementing lessons from LifeWise curriculum, maintaining a safe and orderly classroom, and following

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergencies.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
