Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks dependable substitute teachers who are active church members and able to communicate clearly with students and volunteers. You will deliver LifeWise curriculum, maintain a safe classroom, and support staff by following established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know procedures for emergencies.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and with the teacher.

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.
