Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking substitute teachers who can convey Biblical knowledge with strong communication and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate is an active church participant, caring and perceptive, capable of guiding students in a Christian learning environment.

Responsibilities include completing substitute teacher training, delivering LifeWise lessons, maintaining a safe and organized classroom, and communicating with the lead teacher and volunteers to support program goals.

Qualifications

• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise beliefs.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis.
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom; know emergency procedures.
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community; communicate lesson plans with volunteers and assign duties; communicate with the teacher.
