Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks substitute teachers who are active church participants and committed to LifeWise teachings. You will deliver LifeWise lessons, follow established policies, and maintain a safe, engaging classroom while coordinating with teachers and volunteers.

This on-site, as-needed role emphasizes classroom management, attendance, and maintaining records. Ideal candidates demonstrate a mature Christian faith and ongoing church involvement, and they can implement the provided LifeWise

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes as needed
• Implement provided lesson plans
• Maintain a safe, organized classroom following LifeWise policies
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain attendance records and class records
• Keep the classroom clean and well-organized
• Know emergency procedures
• Act as LifeWise ambassador in the community
• Coordinate lesson plans with volunteers and the teacher

Qualifications and Experience

• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training
• Teach LifeWise classes on an as-needed basis
• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures
• Follow the program's student discipline policy
• Maintain Records
• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
• Maintain Classroom
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom
• Know procedures for emergency situations
• Communicate
• Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties
• Communicate with the teacher
