Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a substitute teacher who demonstrates excellence in biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills and a caring, perceptive approach to instructing students.

Responsibilities include completing substitute training, delivering LifeWise lessons, implementing provided curricula, maintaining a safe and engaging classroom, and reporting attendance and progress to the teacher.

• Must have mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Implement the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and provide them to the teacher.
• Keep a clean, attractive and well-ordered classroom.
• Know procedures for emergencies.
• Act as LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers before class and assign duties.
• Communicate with the teacher.
