Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking dedicated substitute teachers to support our LifeWise program in local classrooms. You will deliver the LifeWise curriculum, engage students, and collaborate with lead teachers to maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

Ideal candidates are active church participants with strong communication skills and a mature Christian faith aligned with our Statement of Faith. This on-site role supports community outreach and youth education within LifeWise communities.

Qualifications

• Must be a mature Christian and agree with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete substitute teacher training.
• Teach LifeWise classes as needed.
• Implement lesson plans using LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher.
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom following LifeWise policies and procedures.
• Follow the program's student discipline policy.
• Maintain attendance records and share with the teacher.
• Maintain a clean, orderly classroom and be prepared for emergencies.
• Communicate lesson plans with volunteers and coordinate duties.

LifeWise substitute teachers will demonstrate excellence in Biblical knowledge and teaching abilities. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who is caring, perceptive and proficient in teaching students.

Job Description

• Complete substitute teacher training

• Implement the lesson plans using the LifeWise curriculum provided by the teacher
• Maintain a safe, organized and stimulating classroom environment following LifeWise policies and procedures

• Take attendance in each class and provide attendance records to the teacher
