Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Volunteer Services Director in Illinois to lead staffing, operations, planning and development for the Volunteer Services Department. You will direct volunteer staff and collaborate with the Guild to support their efforts and community programs.

The role emphasizes leadership, service excellence and compliance with healthcare regulations, while driving continuous improvement and staff development through adaptive strategies and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Experience in volunteer services or healthcare nonprofit management preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and staff development skills.
• Ability to lead operations, planning and development of the department.

Responsibilities

• Staff and oversee operations for the Volunteer Services Department.
• Provide direction and support to volunteers and staff.
• Collaborate with the Guild to support fundraising and events.
• Lead by example and foster service excellence and ethical standards.
• Develop staffing plans to maximize resources and deliver excellent patient/customer service.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards in healthcare.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate department policies and procedures.
• Promote continuous improvement and staff development.
• Act as liaison with Health Center and Volunteer Guild.
• Support Guild fundraising initiatives and events.
