Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• At least two years of experience coordinating office, administrative, program or human resource functions.
• Healthcare setting experience preferred, with patient experience or hospital volunteers.
• Advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other web-based apps; maintain volunteer databases.
• Promote WE CARE values (Wellbeing, Empathy, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Equity).

Responsibilities

• Executes the volunteer program plan in collaboration with leadership.
• Communicates with the public and inquiries about volunteering.
• Maintains volunteer materials per organizational standards.
• Partners with hospital departments to address volunteer needs and placements.
• Ensures background checks, health screenings, training, and onboarding processes.
• Serves as primary contact for volunteers and coordinates schedules.
• Coaches and motivates volunteers to complete duties.
• Seeks and oversees volunteer projects and supervises completion.
• Maintains volunteer database and hours served.
• Assists with volunteer appreciation events and recognition initiatives.
