Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a CDL bus driver to transport public school students and LifeWise volunteers to and from the LifeWise site. The role requires a mature Christian faith and active church involvement in alignment with the LifeWise Statement of Faith.

The driver must hold a CDL with passenger endorsement (P), maintain a clean driving record for the past five years, and pass background checks and drug testing. Training and classroom volunteering may be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must have mature Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• Active participation in a local church with doctrine aligned to LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
• CDL driver's license with endorsement for passenger vehicle (P) required
• Driver must have been continuously licensed for the past three years
• Age 21–80; extra annual submission for drivers above 75
• Clean driving record with no at-fault accidents or traffic citations in last 5 years
• Undergo background check through LifeWise Academy and pass drug/alcohol testing
• yearly Physician's Statement for known medical conditions

Responsibilities

• Transport children and LifeWise volunteers to and from LifeWise site
• Obey traffic laws
• Maintain cleanliness and mechanical safety of the bus
• Perform regular inspections of the bus
• Refuel the vehicle as needed
• Create and maintain a safe environment for children
• Enforce safety rules for students
• Assist students with entering or exiting the vehicle
• Demonstrate a calm and caring demeanor
• Be aware of students needing help or misbehaving
• Complete LifeWise Academy training
• Volunteer in LifeWise classroom if directed by the director
