Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Volunteer Coordinator to administer the volunteer program, ensuring volunteers are supported in their assigned roles and aligned with site needs.

You'll coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and recognition; maintain records and compliance; and collaborate with leadership to improve volunteer services across departments.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred.
• Previous work experience and/or training in a volunteer organization preferred.
• 3 years related experience (required).
• Previous experience in supervision and training (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer programs: recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, evaluation, and recognition.
• Assign volunteers to departments to support patients, families, and staff.
• Maintain volunteer records, compliance requirements, and reporting metrics.
• Assist with budget stewardship, policy development, and continuous improvement of volunteer services.
• Support communication through meetings, newsletters, surveys, and outreach.
• Collaborate with leadership to align services with goals and quality standards.
• Coordinate site-specific programs, including community engagement and fundraising.
