Job summary

The Nancy & David Wolf Holocaust & Humanity Center (HHC) in Cincinnati seeks a Volunteer Engagement Coordinator who will build and sustain a vibrant volunteer community. This role centers on valuing volunteers, maintaining clear communication, and connecting participants with tours, education, and program opportunities.

You will recruit, onboard, train, and recognize volunteers, coordinate logistics for tours and youth programs, track engagement, and collaborate across departments.

Qualifications

• BA or BS in Education, History, Holocaust Studies, or Museum Education a plus.
• Experience in volunteer coordination, program management, or nonprofit administration.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Experience in education, facilitation, or public-facing programming is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate volunteer engagement including recruitment, onboarding, communication, scheduling, and recognition.
• Build strong relationships with volunteers and keep them informed, connected, and appreciated.
• Gather feedback from volunteers and share participant insights with staff.
• Coordinate volunteer training and ongoing learning with Education Team staff.
• Lead museum tours and select youth programs after training as needed.
• Coordinate training materials, schedules, and resources.
