Job summary

Feed My Starving Children in Coon Rapids, MN, seeks a full-time, non-exempt role to welcome volunteer groups, present the mission, guide packing sessions, and uphold safety and hospitality standards. You will greet volunteers, deliver engaging talks, orchestrate packing shifts, and ensure clean, organized work areas.

You’ll work with a team and handle basic cash transactions while supporting site initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to stand and walk for 6–8 hours.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs repeatedly.
• Thrives in a team setting and shares responsibilities.
• Excellent hospitality and public speaking skills.
• Respect for diverse volunteers and supporters.
• Exposure to soy allergen is tolerated.

Responsibilities

• Greet volunteers warmly and answer questions.
• Deliver engaging presentations about FMSC's mission.
• Organize packing sessions and adjust to volunteers.
• Set up and clean before and after sessions.
• Monitor time, manage transitions, and track production.
• Lead a Christian prayer over packaged food.
• Handle retail transactions at cash register.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety practices.
• Assist with site initiatives and special projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
