Job summary

Feed My Starving Children is seeking a part-time role focused on facilitating safe, efficient volunteer experiences. You will guide packing sessions, provide hospitality to volunteers, and support site operations to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities include leading packing sessions, supervising routines, and ensuring food safety and safety policies. Position requires flexibility for weekday, weeknights, and Saturdays with some Sundays and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Passion for FMSC’s Christian mission and hospitality-focused environment.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Minimum of a high school diploma or GED and 1 year proven work experience.
• Physically able to stand 6–8 hours and lift 30–50 lbs repeatedly.
• Thrives in a team setting and shares responsibilities.
• Capable of instructing large groups clearly.
• Respectful of volunteers and supporters with diverse backgrounds.
• Able to tolerate soy exposure as an allergen.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional hospitality: greet volunteers, answer questions, give clear instructions, and show appreciation for their contributions.
• Lead packing sessions, anticipate needs, and adapt to a volunteer workforce.
• Clean and set up supplies before/after sessions.
• Monitor time, manage transitions, and track production.
• Provide packing/instruction guidance to large groups of volunteers.
• Lead a Christian prayer over packaged food and invite participation.
