Job summary

United Way of Central Indiana is seeking a Manager of Volunteer Engagement to build and maintain relationships with partners and nonprofits, and to design immersive learning opportunities that connect volunteers with community needs.

You will work with the volunteer engagement and fundraising teams to grow participation and impact while promoting United Way’s mission and values across Central Indiana.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in project management, volunteer management, business, or related field.
• Experience with HandsOn Connect, Salesforce, or similar CRM systems.
• Knowledge of the Central Indiana community and human services sector preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a van; ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to engage employees of partner companies in volunteer activities.
• Coordinate immersive learning experiences to educate about community needs and empathy.
• Manage logistics for volunteer engagement experiences and events.
• Collaborate with fundraising teams to align community engagement with UWCI goals.
• Act as an internal resource for volunteerism, training, and placement of volunteers.
