Job summary

United Way Of Greater Atlanta seeks an experienced Associate Director, Volunteerism to plan and execute corporate and community volunteer projects throughout the year that support UWGA’s mission and revenue goals.

Reporting to the Director, Volunteerism, this role is also responsible for supporting large-scale community projects, developing customized volunteer experiences for corporate partners, and cultivating relationships with corporate and nonprofit partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in social services, business, nonprofit management or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in event planning or nonprofit volunteer management.
• Strong track record in planning, coordinating stakeholders, and delivering community programs.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication with public speaking skills.
• Experience leading volunteers and cross-functional teams.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and volunteer platforms.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and manage turnkey volunteer projects for corporations and communities.
• Design and tailor volunteer experiences to align with partner goals and data insights.
• Support large annual programs and community-wide volunteer initiatives.
• Build and maintain relationships with volunteers, corporate partners and nonprofits.
• Coordinate with teams to ensure a cohesive United Way experience and handle inquiries.
• Capture and manage volunteer engagement data using CRM systems.
