Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a dedicated teacher to share biblical teaching with public school students in a classroom setting, aligning with LifeWise’s faith-based mission. The ideal candidate participates actively in a local church, communicates effectively, and fosters a compassionate, engaging learning environment.

The role requires completing LifeWise teacher certification within 30 days, attending annual LifeWise Summit, and maintaining classroom organization while building relationships

Qualifications

• Two years of classroom teaching experience in a school or church setting is required.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training, including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days and annual LifeWise Summit.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Build relationships with students and pray for them regularly.
• Maintain an organized and engaging classroom environment and apply LifeWise policies.
• Take attendance and maintain class rosters and health notes as required.
• Maintain a clean, well-ordered classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers, providing updates and photos as needed.
