Job summary

LifeWise Academy is seeking a dedicated teacher to share the gospel in classroom settings with public school students. The ideal candidate participates actively in a local church, communicates effectively, and demonstrates caring, perceptive teaching for children.

The role includes completing LifeWise teacher certification, maintaining attendance and records, and engaging with the community through events and volunteers to promote LifeWise's mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience (with students) in school or church settings.
• Mature personal Christian faith in agreement with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise's beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete Initial and Ongoing Training and LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days of start date.
• Teach LifeWise Classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum customization.
• Maintain attendance, rosters, health notes and parent permissions for substitutes as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and know emergency procedures.
• Communicate with school personnel and volunteers, and attend open houses/outreach events.
