Job summary

LifeWise Academy seeks a teacher to share the gospel in a classroom setting with public school students. The ideal candidate is an active church participant with strong communication and interpersonal skills, caring, perceptive, and proficient at teaching children.

The role requires two years of classroom teaching, faith alignment with our Statement of Faith, and ongoing participation in a local church. Training, ceremony, and regular outreach are part of the position.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of classroom teaching experience with students in a school or church setting.
• Active, mature Christian faith aligned with LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
• Active participation in a local church whose doctrine aligns with LifeWise beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Complete initial and ongoing training including LifeWise Teacher Certification within 30 days.
• Teach LifeWise classes using the LifeWise curriculum and map curriculum to students.
• Build relationships with students, pray for them, and maintain an organized, engaging classroom.
• Maintain attendance, rosters, health notes and prepare substitute materials as needed.
• Communicate with school personnel, volunteers and program director; participate in outreach.
