The Salvation Army in Evansville, Indiana is seeking a Community Development Coordinator to recruit, train and place volunteers across Vanderburgh, Warrick and Posey Counties. You will build partner relationships, manage communications, and support community events and campaigns.

You will also oversee social media, digital content, and promotional activities to raise awareness of our mission and services in the Evansville area.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or equivalent; associate/bachelor’s preferred in communications, marketing, or PR.
• Experience with nonprofit volunteering, community engagement, or partner relations.
• Experience with social media, digital content, and graphic design is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Recruit and develop qualified volunteers from the community.
• Maintain the volunteer database and provide reports as necessary.
• Provide in-depth training and continuing education for volunteers.
• Create and email monthly newsletters to volunteers highlighting opportunities.
• Coordinate volunteer groups for Christmas Red Kettle Campaign with approved sites.
• Support fundraising goals through stronger volunteer relationships.
• Develop promotional materials and cultivate community partnerships.
• Represent The Salvation Army at community meetings and events.
