The Salvation Army Evansville Corps is seeking a Community Development Coordinator to expand services, recruit and train volunteers, and build partnerships across Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Posey counties. This role also focuses on digital communications and community engagement to advance the mission.

You will manage newsletters, coordinate volunteer placements, and support seasonal campaigns while representing The Salvation Army in public forums and events in Evansville.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Background checks required and reviewed.
• Experience with nonprofit volunteer coordination, community engagement, or marketing preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and Safe From Harm training within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Recruit and develop volunteers, maintain the volunteer database, and provide training.
• Coordinate community service intake, scheduling, and tracking with departments.
• Develop social media strategy and create promotional content.
• Represent The Salvation Army at community meetings and events.
• Support fundraising goals through volunteer relationships and reporting.
