Job summary

The Salvation Army Fargo Corps is seeking a Community Relations and Volunteer Coordinator to build community partnerships, engage volunteers, and coordinate communications for local programs. This site-based role requires leading volunteers, coordinating events, and promoting Salvation Army services in the Fargo area.

You will drive the annual Red Kettle Campaign, foster relationships with churches, schools, and local groups, and ensure messaging remains consistent with Salvation Army branding

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent in communications, marketing, nonprofit management, public relations, business or related field.
• Two years of related experience in community engagement or volunteer coordination preferred.
• Must pass background checks and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and support volunteers for year-round and seasonal programs.
• Develop and maintain relationships with community organizations and local businesses.
• Coordinate communications for events and programs, ensuring branding consistency.
• Provide logistical support for programs and events and support the Red Kettle Campaign.
